Arch. Jesse Tukacungurwa is a Registered Architect, with over 10 years of progressive experience wide experience on building infrastructure projects; for design, management and supervision, inception to post occupancy.
Jesse has been involved in a wide range of both private and publicly funded projects such as Seed schools under African Development Bank (ADB) Education IV development project, remodeling of Hoima central and Nakulabye markets into modern markets funded by ADB & Government of Uganda, upgrade of Entebbe International Airport in preparation of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) for Government of Uganda, upgrade of Caltex Uganda headquarters (offices and fuel depot), National Housing and Construction Company housing estate in Lubuwa as well as numerous other projects
Jesse’s strengths lie in his creative ability to develop strong design concepts to life shown in distinct architectural features seen in all projects involved in. He is an experienced in Office administration & management. He is also a lecturer at the School of Architecture and Planning, Makerere University.
Jesse specialized in the area of Sustainable building design by acquiring a Masters degree in sustainable building Technology (SBT) from University of Nottingham, UK which equipped him with skills in minimising energy load of buildings from during and after construction by using advanced software and design strategies. He is also proficient in advanced computer aided design software (CAD) using programs like: AutoCad, FormZ, Ecotect, WUFI and Googlesketchup Pro. He is also an advanced user of all Microsoft Office and Adobe graphics packages.
