Sarah Birungi

Council Member

Arch. Sarah Birungi is a registered practicing Architect with over 10 years of professional experience in planning, design, construction supervision and project management of buildings and other social infrastructures.

Currently, she is a Principal Architect at SBN Consulting. Among the major projects Arch. Sarah B. participated in included design and construction supervision of a G+6 commercial structure in Juba, South Sudan; design and supervision of Kokorujuko Education Centre, Phase I and II in Wakiso District; design of rural markets under CAIIP – 2; design and supervision of JLOS offices in Moroto and Gulu; design and supervision of Labour Based Training Centre, Mbale under Ministry of Works and Transport; design and supervision of Bank of Uganda Regional Currency Centre in Gulu and many others including residential buildings.

Sarah’s strengths lies in personal capabilities, qualities and can handle any Architectural and Engineering challenges. Besides her wide technical knowledge, she is equally a good administrator and a manager.

Sarah holds a bachelor degree of Architecture from Makerere University, Postgraduate certificates in Project monitoring and evaluation and Project planning and management. She is also an active member of professional bodies such as East African Institute of Architects besides being a council Member; Member of Architects registration Board of Uganda; Council member of Uganda Society of Architects; Member of the Engineering Council of South Sudan and Council member for KCCA Physical Planning Committee.
